American Idol 9 Top 6 ? Can You Guess What the Idols Will Sing? (Spoilers)

OK Magazine had a reporter at a recent Idol rehearsal, and the subsequent write-up contains some semi-spoilery stuff.  Which Shania Twain song do you think the Top 6 chose to sing for tonight?  Looks like we’ve got a couple of ballads going–including Casey James who hopefully will re-capture some of that “Jealous Guy” magic from a few weeks ago.

Hm. I don’t think these are as good as the People spoilers, but I don’t see a list posted a their website yet.  I’ll keep an eye out for it.

Spoiler stuff after the jump…

Siobhan Magnus was the first to rehearse this afternoon. The edgy and versatile singer rehearsed with a lot of confidence, and sang the song more securely each set. Siobhan was very active on the stage making it difficult to take your eyes off of her. She displayed her wide and very strong vocal range with Shania’s country song, which will please her fans.

Casey James was the second to rehearse. The song selection suited the blue-eyed Texan rather well. It allowed for him to display his talent on the guitar, and to show off his country vocal cords. The ballad was soft, but still delivered. The ponytailed singer looked rather comfortable on stage, and relaxed throughout his sets. He also sang with a lot of emotion, which will surely make the ladies soon!

Crystal Bowersox was third to rehearse. The female frontrunner made an ideal song selection for Shania week. The country song enables for the Ohio-born singer to display her natural talents playing the guitar and most importantly, singing. Even though she had a minor screw up by singing the wrong lyric during her rehearsal (she was the first to laugh at herself!), she bounced right back, and gave an amazing rehearsal. She was calm, relaxed, and simply owned the song.

Aaron Kelly was fourth to rehearse. The 17-year-old (who is the youngest of the contestants) looked to be in really good spirits – especially after nailing his rehearsal. His ballad was powerful, and showed just how much voice this little guy is packing (Hello, David Archuleta 2.0!). The piano adds a soft touch to the song, and it was another great song to select. It suited him very well, and he is surely not going to disappoint tomorrow night.

Lee Dewyze was fifth to rehearse. The male frontrunner showed us why he is one of the frontrunners… He was simply amazing! The Illinoisan’s could not have picked a better song for Shania week. It’s not country – nor is it rock n’ roll, but it’s just perfect. Girls across the country are going to be swooning in front of their television sets come tomorrow night. He is guaranteed to go on to the next round after he performs this week.
