Led by American Idol, Fox got over the Wednesday “hump” in winning fashion, with an advantage over the No. 2 network (CBS in total viewers; ABC among adults 18-49) of 4.89 million viewers and 1.7 rating points in the demo).
The live American Idol Results Show stood well above the competition with 19.39 million viewers and a 6.5 rating/17 share among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. Comparably, that built from a repeat of Lie to Me (Viewers: #3, 5.28 million; A18-49: #2, 1.7/ 3), which will be keeping the Wednesday 8 p.m. hour occupied until new dramedy The Good Guys debuts on May 19, by 14.11 million viewers and 282 percent in the demo. Needless to say, Crystal Bowersox is an absolute lock to win this season.
This morning’s preliminary numbers are a little higher than Tuesday’s numbers. It will be interesting to see if that holds up once the final numbers are in.

The Arizona immigration bill has stirred up all kinds of predictable reactions from the wacky left. It's also stirred up predictable demagoguery from the president. Speaking to a hand-picked crowd in Ottumwa, IA the president made this comment about the new law:
In my recent piece "America, Face It, Your President Was Raised to Hate You" I talked about the many corrupting influences in Obama's past. He was surrounded by people who hated police, and in at least one case (William Ayers) tried to kill cops. He undoubtedly heard sermons from Jeremiah Wright which claimed police oppression against blacks, and I'm convinced he grew up with a hatred of law enforcement which continues to color his judgment today. We saw it in the Cambridge incident and we'll probably see it again in the near future.

I'm going with the third option.

New York Wants to Force Everyone To Be An Organ Donor
I'm completely in favor of people signing up to be organ donors, and completely opposed to this idea:
This could also raise some interesting issues as it relates to abortion. If it turns out the state can mandate that you donate your organs, couldn't it also mandate that you have or not have an abortion? Or perhaps some other procedure that you may not want?

Organ donation has become a vital way to save lives around the world, but a vast shortage of donors continues to mean people are losing their lives while on waiting lists.Freedom means being free to decide what happens to your body and its parts after death too. While I would encourage people to sign up, there's no way the state should be allowed to mandate it or make it the default position.
But there is a unique proposal that could change all that.
New York State Assemblyman Richard Brodsky nearly lost his daughter, Willie, at 4 years old when she needed a kidney transplant, and again 10 years later when her second kidney failed.
"We have 10,000 New Yorkers on the list today waiting for organs. We import half the organs we transplant. It is an unacceptable failed system," Brodsky said.
To fix that, Brodsky introduced a new bill in Albany that would enroll all New Yorkers as an organ donor, unless they actually opt out of organ donation. It would be the first law of its kind in the United States.
"Overseas, 24 nations have it. Israel has it. Others have it. And it works without a lot of controversy," Brodsky said.

So now that we’re in the top 5, the VFTW pick has come down to Michael Lynche and Aaron Kelly. The choice went back and forth, but after some thought, it’s obvious who we should help save: Michael. But alas, it’s the name of the game, so read on for all the offscreen action, including a bonus Lady Gaga post-tape complete with fire-spitting crying angels, lace pasties, black veils and creepy trees.
5:42 p.m. Spotting Crystal’s boyfriend taking their son for a spin in his stroller, a quick chat with stage manager Debbie Williams yields some details about the Lady Gaga performance being taped after the show (and airing next week). Namely, that she practiced until 9:30 on Tuesday night, an hour after her scheduled stop time, that the dancers (a couple from “So You Think You Can Dance”) are male-on-male and cut like nobody’s business and that the performance includes fire, blood and tears in its visually stunning display. Debbie also noted Gaga’s maturation as an artist since the last time she performed on the “Idol” stage, especially in the dance department. And Gaga was hoping she’d notice, asking Debbie, “Did I get better?”

However, after the show was over and the 19 Entertainment logo had chirped, none other than Lady Gaga invaded the Idoldome, and, shockingly, she decided to put on an insanely elaborate spectacle involving a 20 foot (or so) working fountain and a half-dozen (or so) half-naked male dancers. Of course, you at home won’t get to see her performance until it airs during an upcoming results show, so my descriptions of it may not exactly make a whole heap of sense — and Lady Gaga already enjoys tango dancing on the far edge of basic visual comprehension anyway. Some of you may not even want to know anything about what Lady Gaga unleashed upon the Idol stage at all, and I don’t blame you. So when we get to the that portion of the recap, those wishing to remain unspoiled can simply click on over to Slezak’s review of the show itself.

Are Sherri Shepherd of "The View" and "CSI: NY" star Hill Harper "smitten" and secretly dating?

According to the mag, it began when Shepherd and Harper taped a "Nightline" segment together in March. Reportedly, Harper reminded Shepherd off-camera that she had once rejected him in the 1990s. A so-called "pal" tells the tab Shepherd didn't recall the snub, but "apologized and accepted his invitation to dinner, and they hit it off." http://bit.ly/ackWtp
