Firefox users how can i stop mozilla firefox automatically updating my FF browser?

Its on 3.5 now and ive got a good real player plug in that downloads flash videos with one click and saves them to my media player BUT soon as FF updates to anything above 3.5 this plug in stops working. know wot i mean john? Cheers in advance.
